Welcome, gentle traveler. Here you will find examples of my leather work. Many of the items are available for sale. Look around, make your self at home. Smell the leather and feel its warm, smoothness… well, use your virtual imagination, anyway. If you have any questions, then please don’t hesitate to ask.
Many of my creations draw upon my Scottish heritage. In particular, I am fond of Celtic designs. Occasionally, the odd dragon will show itself. I offer many specialty items such as kilt belts and sporrans to compliment your Clan tartan when “you be a-wearin’ yer kilt, laddie”. Please, check out my Scottish targes, “just in case yer plannin’ on a goin’ into battle”… or at least want something nice for your wall.
Another source of my inspiration are Southwestern and Native American themes. This reflects that I grew up in a small copper mining and cattle ranching town in Arizona. Many of the Native American patterns are inspired from antique pots and baskets from my own collections, especially Apache baskets from the late 1800's and early 1900's. Some of the designs are taken from Anasazi, Salado and Gila Pueblo Indian art dating back 800 or more years.
Recently, I have been asked to make various items for Steampunk costumes. So I have added hats, goggles, gloves, cuffs, pouches and the like.
All the leather items I sell are hand-made, by me, in my home in the USA. The leather is sourced from America, Australia and Germany. Some specialty leathers, like pig skin lining for some purses and pouches, are from Spain and Morocco. Basic buckles and other basic metal items are manufactured in Taiwan. Most of the Celtic items come from a foundry in Germany. Many of the Cowboy buckles are made in Texas. Whenever possible, I try to use dyes and finishing agents that are "eco-friendly".
